Live Taxi Meter requires access to your device's location to calculate accurate taxi fares in real time. The location permission is used exclusively for:

- Fare Calculation: Computing the fare based on official government rate cards
- Map Display: Showing your current location and route on the map
How We Use It

- The app will not function without location permission, as it's essential for fare calculation

To be absolutely clear, Live Taxi Meter does NOT collect, store, or process any of the following:
- Personal Information: No name, email, phone number, or any identifying details
- Account Data: No login credentials, usernames, or passwords
- Contact Information: No access to your contacts, messages, or calls
- Device Information: No device IDs, MAC addresses, or hardware identifiers
- Payment Information: No credit card, bank account, or payment details
- Browsing History: No tracking of your web browsing or app usage
- Photos or Media: No access to your camera, photos, or media files

💾 Data Storage
Trip History (Optional)
If you choose to save your trip history:
- All trip data is stored locally on your device only
- We never upload trip history to our servers
- You can view, manage, or delete your trip history at any time within the app
- Trip history is not backed up to the cloud
- If you uninstall the app, all local trip data is permanently deleted
No Cloud Storage
🔒 Privacy Guarantee: Live Taxi Meter does NOT use any cloud storage services. All data processing happens on your device, and nothing leaves your phone.

We take the security of your device-stored data seriously:
- No Network Communication: The app doesn't send data to external servers (except for essential map services)

🌐 Third-Party Services
Maps and Location Services
Live Taxi Meter uses platform-provided map services (such as Google Maps on Android or Apple Maps on iOS) to display your location and route. These services are subject to their own privacy policies:

- We do not share your location with map providers beyond what's necessary to display the map

No Analytics or Advertising
Live Taxi Meter is completely free from:

- Crash reporting tools (no user data sent for crash analysis)
👤 Children's Privacy
Live Taxi Meter does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect personal information from any users, our app is safe for all age groups.
🌍 International Users
Currently, Live Taxi Meter is available in Maharashtra, India. Since all data processing happens locally on your device, there are no cross-border data transfers or international data storage concerns.
